14.30 - 15.00
26th January 2012

Organised by:
The Centre for Sustainable Design

Introduction

The Centre for Sustainable Design® would like to invite you to a webinar at 14:30-15:00 GMT on 26th January 2012 to introduce you to a new and exciting smartphone and software application for measuring and communicating carbon emissions resulting from travel, entitled CarbonDiem®.

Using a revolutionary new carbon measurement tool, the CarbonDiem® service is now ready for a wider launch. It uses the smartphone as sensor, enabler, calculator and communicator to offer a unique automatic solution to:

  • Detect a user's mode of transport, and,
  • Calculate their journey's carbon footprint.

Please join us in the webinar to:

  • See a demonstration of CarbonDiem® ahead of launch at the 2012 Mobile World Congress
  • Learn about the ambitions of the CarbonDiem® service
  • Discuss a potential pilot in your organisation
  • Help us respond to your needs to monitor and manage travel emissions

Carbon Hero Ltd (developers of CarbonDiem®), InterfaceFLOR, Wax-RDC and The Centre for Sustainable Design® (CfSD) have been working together on a UK government Technology Strategy Board funded project called PIPT to research and develop an employee engagement service for measuring and understanding the impact of individual travel emissions.

CfSD are now helping Carbon Hero Ltd to connect with environmental leaders and we would be grateful to find out how you, or organisations you know, would value the CarbonDiem® service.

Whether travelling by train, road, plane, tube, bicycle or foot, users of CarbonDiem® can understand their emissions simply by accessing their phone. An interactive cloud-service automatically aggregates employee data, allowing environmental managers to analyse and report their organisation’s emissions.

The benefits to industry leaders already using the CarbonDiem® are:

  • Comprehensive & real-time data
  • Employee security & privacy
  • High-level engagement
  • Time & cost savings for employers

The CarbonDiem® service has been successfully piloted with several blue chip companies based in the UK (leading to tender requests) and Carbon Hero Ltd are actively seeking more organisations to offer pilots. If you are interested in piloting CarbonDiem® please email zac on zac@carbondiem.com

The demonstration and presentation will be around 10 minutes allowing a further 10-20 minutes for discussion and questions through an associated conference call.
