HNRI Report on a Case Study on Wind Turbines? HNRI carried out a case study on Vestas Blades UK who are making a significant contribution towards the creation of a sustainable society by manufacturing wind turbine blades used in generating renewable energy. Vestas Blades UK wind turbine blades are composed of a high proportion of sustainable materials, are much more energy efficient to produce, can be disposed of with minimal environmental impact and after operation may well be used for heat recovery by incineration. Vestas Blades UK demonstrates a commitment making to its product becoming sustainable throughout its life cycle, including: materials sourcing, manufacture, transport, use and disposal.
