Toxicity

Carcinogen and neurotoxin. Can cause pernament brain damage. Young children are the most suseptable
to lead poisoning.


Applications

Used in solder for electronics. Protective covering for cables, heat transfer medium for storage batteries,
containers and pipes for aggressive fluids and gases, pigment manufacturing, corrosion inhibitors, paints,
and protection from X-rays As an alloy it can be found in steel, copper and other metals. It can also be
found in plastics, and ceramics. Used in petrol refining and manufacture of sulfuric acid.

Used in many electrical components on leads, as die solders, and in ceramics. Examples are ICs, resistors,
capacitors, rectifiers, and diodes.
