Toxicity
Copper can affect the skin, kidney, eyes, liver, blood, throat, nose, mouth.
Applications
Used in ateel and aluminium alloys. It has wide use as an agricultural poison and as an algicide in water
purification. Its low electrical resistivity means that it is extensively used by the electrical and electronics
industry and can be found in most electrical/electronic components (resistors, diodes, capacitors etc),
printed wiring boards (PWB) and cables/wiring. It also is a good thermal conductor and used as heat sinks
and for cooking utensils.
