The EU official website CELEX in principal has such a site at http://europa.eu.int/comm/environment/waste/weee_index.htm has general information at the European level but does not cover the state level. Tthe DTI commissioned a consultancy (Perchards) to produce a quarterly update on the transposition of the WEEE Directive. All products put on the market in a Member State must be registered in that country and will need to satisfy the regulations of that state even if it is first imported into another Member State. Once it has been sold the user can move between Member States freely with that product.
At the end-of-life the product becomes hazardous waste and movement between states is affected by the transport of hazardous waste legislation.
