Graham Adams graduated from the University of Sussex in 1970 with an Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering. During his career he has worked in the fields of R&D in diesel fuel injection systems, electronics and fibre optic sensors, of which 5 years were in Spain, and 7 years in Germany.
In 1985 he joined Motorola to Manage the Mechanical Design Group in the European Design Centre. During his time at Motorola he was promoted up to Chief Engineer of the design centre then went into quality systems where he successfully led a European team to obtain ISO9001 followed by QS9000.
Following this he then moved on to be the Global Environmental Design Manager for Motorola IESS, during which time he was responsible for developing the dfe tools used by the Sector, and the integration of their use into the product launch process. He represented Motorola Corporate within EICTA and chaired the Supply Chain Management Task Force within it and received a reward for outstanding performance on Standards activities..
In April of 2002 he moved into Engineering Systems Consulting. He is now director of his own company PlesTech Ltd., (www.plestech.co.uk) and is invloved in the development of eco-design software, and integration of eco-design into companies management systems. He is the Co-ordinator/webmaster for seeba, and does workshops, seminars and webcasts for IPC and ERA Research Technologies. He is on the advisory committee for the RE4View environmental magazine.
