I am told that there are speech activated browsers and other technologies that enable the disabled to overcome these access issues but this has to be incorporated into the site as it is developed. I understand the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 could soon have a legal requirement for web sites to offer reasonable access to such individuals? Has this been an issue for anyone else out there, is it enshrined in the CSR strategies of any public or private organisations? Would be interested to know and will compile any responses to those that are interested, in combination with any of my own research. best regards Angus |
